Calico Meadows Subdivision

Signature Homes and Calico Meadows were founded and developed by John and Dawn De Laurentis. John had a life long love of things antique including classic architecture. John learned the art of building from his dad, Lou who used to say “Home was not built in a day”; things of value take time, hard work, planning and commitment.

Dawn is a long term resident of Blanco and is dedicated to the community, her friends and family. The couple developed commercial property in the Bulverde area and founded both Signature Homes and Calico Meadows.

John was a successful businessman and developer in the Teton Valley of Idaho for many years before he married his child hood sweetheart, Dawn and made Blanco his home. When they began to build homes by request in the Blanco area, John vowed that every project would bear his signature as his pledge to quality and customer satisfaction—thus Signature Homes.

The historical downtown Blanco square and the couple’s love of classical building inspired them to combine architectural revival styles with 21st century technology in Calico Meadows.

John and Dawn share a vision of classical antique homes in a planned and protected community at a price that would be truly affordable —thus Calico Meadows.

We are proud to welcome Williams Homes as our primary home builder for Calico Meadows.

Williams Homes

Bo Williams first started his career in homebuilding working for Prince Construction in 1987. Ernest Prince played a key role in encouraging and supporting Bo’s decision to return to college and complete courses in Residential Construction Management. Although he stayed with Ernest for several more years he knew that one day he would have his own company.

In 2000, Bo started his own custom home business, Williams Homes. His experience has included homes up to $750,000 but most of his homes are in the $180,000 to $450,000 range. Over the years, Bo has completed six to ten homes a year primary on the 281 corridor from San Antonio to Blanco. He has also completed some commercial jobs which include a veterinary and boarding clinic for animals and two self-storage facilities in the Bulverde - Spring Branch area. Bo recently finished his first model home in the Blanco area and is looking forward to building in Calico Meadows.
